Annual Mother's Day Flower Arrangement Sale
Each year, our volunteers gather on the Friday before Mother's Day to construct beaurtiful, affordable arrangements. Early Saturday morning, they set up at the O.P. Farmer's Market and sell out every year! It's one of our favorite fundraisers.

Decorating the Pines
Every Tuesday after Christmas, the O.P. Community Center gym is filled with gardeners, tables, cut holly, pines, and more greens, along with floral tape, green wire, and bright imaginations. We create holiday decorations for the signage of most sections of Ocean Pines. Our crew hangs the decorations and we all enjoy a satisfying brunch.

Arbor Day Celebration

Since 1991, the Ocean Pines Garden Club has honored Arbor Day by planting a special tree in loving memory of friends and family who passed away during the recent year. The first memorial trees were planted in Robin Hood and Bainbridge parks. In the mid 1990s, the ceremony was moved to Pintail Park, where we continue the tradition today.
Arbor Day is a celebration of hope and faith in the future. The simple act of planting a tree reflects a belief that it will grow and thrive, providing us with clean air and water, cooling shade, habitat for wildlife and many other benefits. Plants and trees enrich our communities in many healthy ways while also surrounding us with endless natural beauty for generations to come.
Donations and
Community Contributions

Donated the anchor to the old Yacht Club in 1995 “to anchor the
Community” and maintained the garden around it until the old Yacht Club was torn down. Today the anchor, which dates from the Civil War, resides between the Yacht Club parking lot and the Oasis Pool.
Donated the Gazebo to Pintail Park in 1998. OPGC continues to maintain the gardens at Pintail Park.
Donated numerous benches throughout the community, including two marble benches installed outside of the Community Center in 2009.

In 2025, three pollinator gardens were created to beautify the medians and public areas and promote local pollinators. OPGC members maintain these areas.

In 2005, the OPGC began helping maintain the garden areas around the community's Veteran's Memorial Park for several years. In 2014, the club donated two plaques commemorating the Gold Star program at the memorial.
